The No Offence Fence

The No Offence Fence is a community art project that transformed a humble garden fence into a beacon of unity, compassion and positivity in the face of bullying.

The creator of this project, Maxine Sims, wanted to pass on the spirit of this project to the Kindly community and invited applications to take the project to a new location.

“We turned an ordinary fence into an object that united a community”

Maxine Sims

Maxine’s Challenge ran for 3 weeks and she received applications from individuals and organisations across the country. At the end of the process she selected New Mills High School as Challenge winners. Their idea was to transform their vandalised toilet block into a new #NoOffence space. They received £200 from the Kindly Community Fund to spend on art supplies.

Congratulations to New Mills School

Work is underway to transform the toilet block into a new #No Offence space.

Work on the next stage of this project is currently in progress. You can follow updates on the No Offence Fence Instagram page.
